Andrew Schwarz

Board Chair, Treasurer

Though born in Los Angeles, Andrew spent much of his childhood growing up mostly in Alaska. His path meandered into the world of agriculture in 2008, and he’s worked for numerous farms up and down the West Coast. In 2015, he landed in Southern Oregon and put down roots, starting his own farm, Ridgeline Meadows, inhabiting the niche of perennial systems and vegetable seed production.

As he spent more time outside his fields and beyond his property’s deer fence, he grew a relationship with the broader landscape, and his passion for the restoration of forests and waterways and grew. In 2019, Andrew founded Seed Forest Design LLC, to provide consultation, planning, and implementation for low-tech, process-based restoration projects throughout Oregon.  He is excited by the potential that comes with us humans partnering with beavers, and is proud to be leading or on-the-ground beaver-based restoration work in the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument of southern Oregon.
